Being pressured into the Drama Club for senior year left Alivia Riverwood, a shy, reserved nerd, saying "How bad could it really be anyways?" Even better she is cast as the understudy for the lead role of the romantic play in which she believes she doesn't really have to do any work. After all, the lead role is cast to Jessica Parker, the same girl who is popular, has perfect grades, is the girlfriend of the most popular boy in school, president of the honor society, AND has always gotten the lead role of every play since 2nd grade. 

When Jessica is suddenly sick leaving Alivia to fulfill the role of Cinder, feelings spark not only in the fantasy but also in reality with Adrian Hunter aka Prince Lucas. Although Adrian is a total charm, he's hiding something. There's something weird and dangerous about him and he's always leaving at the worst possible times for what he calls, "a sighting." 

While maintaining the play, keeping herself in check, a disaster is bound to happen. What is Adrian's secret?
