"The Human Race.
A useless species of cowards.
They flee in the face of danger and hide from the darkness that holds the unknown. A species like this shouldn't exist. But a new age is dawning, a world filled with the screams of the dying and the only thing humans have to fear is ME! Wouldn't that be beautiful?"

Ryan knows more than anyone how hard life can be. He has to put up with the stress of school and all the responsibilities that come with being a teenager. Alienated at school and oppressed at home, Ryan feels as though his life will never be worth anything. That is until he meets Adam.
Adam is no ordinary teenager. He has deadly powers and evil intentions. He shows no remorse and nothing and no-one can stop his villainous plans. But when he and Ryan get paired together and the two grow close, Adam learns there's more to humanity than he originally thought.
But what will happen when Adam reveals the monster inside him and shows Ryan that there's always more to life than meets the eye?

Growing up in chaos isn't simple for all. Not many could cope. They would struggle and kick, but ultimately drown. However, for Dakota, that was his normality. Torturing. Maiming. Killing. That was his life, the life of a hunter. The Arizona line was elusive, written fame in the lore of hunters, and infamy for their prey. They were the best. No one could ever compare to their skills, their abilities, their ruthlessness. But Dakota was something else. His siblings might have learnt to enjoy the hunt, well most of them anyway, but Dakota didn't. There was always something missing for him, something he was waiting on. Silent and everlasting hope. A promise had been made to him, the day his twin brother was stolen, taken by the enemy, plucked right from the very home the Arizonas had grown up in. A promise of something better, something that he might actually want in his life. Now, almost sixteen years later, something was coming. A change was begging to be found. Maybe it would be for the best. Maybe Dakota would finally find that certain something that had been missing his whole life, something to fill the dark and fractured abyss that ached and wailed within. But nothing was ever that simple. Because, of course, the promise that had been made to Dakota would never be anything plausible for him, anything tangible to have and to hold. He had been promised a new life, by the greatest enemy of them all. It wouldn't be easy. Not with his family still clinging to his heels, the teachings of blood and violence burnt into his mind. No, leaving them behind wouldn't ever be easy. Then again, staying with them would only bring his inevitable death. Why not take the chance to die happy? After all, out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise...

Afterall, has his shadow been moving on its own? Or is it just his imagination. Follow the story of 14-year-old Daniel as he learns how to get through life. How to grow up. And how to love in multiple ways. Opening his heart and mind to the world and people around him. Rated mature for: Swearing Mature concepts Violence This book is dedicated to everyone who inspired me, encouraged me and stuck by me while I debated giving up on the concept for this book altogether. You all know who you are... I wanted to tell a story that breaks the norm to some aspect. Where the main character is a boy, not a girl. Where he is not perfect. And where he is even a - not bad - but does bad things sometimes. It's a story of coming into yourself and forging your own path. Despite how hard that path can be to walk. Choices you face, how you'll react to them. What to do when you've done something bad and how you can fix it. If you should fix it. Each choice you make - weather you realize it or not - forges the person you are. For every door you close another one is waiting to be opened. This is not a perfect story, but it's one I want to tell. One that comes from a personal place in my heart and one that is born in reality and bathed in fantasy. This story will deal with aspects of both worlds. And sometimes touch on heavier topics. Be prepared, to read about a character who is the farthest thing from perfect. But he doesn't need to be. He just needs to be himself. Oh, how hard that truly is.

People with powers exist, believe it or not. And it isn't some magic thing that gave us powers; it's a genetic malfunction that cursed us to a life of living as societal outcasts. You'd think that would pull us together, right? Wrong! ••• Silas has a rare genetic malfunction, that very few people have. It is rare and terrifying, as anyone who has the malfunction is given telekinetic abilities. He's never met someone else like him, but he's also rarely gone out in public to limit the chance of being called out for existing. He isn't necessarily happy with his life, but he doesn't hate it either. It's just going on and all he can do is watch time pass and hope that he never has to interact with people who hate him for existing. That is, until he discovers that someone else with the malfunction is murdering people like him, and by discover, he means damn near killed by the psychopath. In order to stay alive and off the killer's radar, Silas moves in with a doctor and an officer who helped save him, but as he spends time with them, Silas discovers a side to normal people that he's never gotten to see.
