Blaire Abernathy and Hugh Statton: The epitome of best friends.
They grew up in Minnesota, bonding over their shared wounds and troubled pasts, always by each other's side.
That is until one night when Blaire decides to run away, and they are both faced with the threat of never seeing each other again.
Hugh then decides to go with her and they both leave they're timid, small town lives to discover the distant nowhere. They embark on rambunctious misadventures as they wander aimlessly across the country. Along the way, they reignite old flames and dig up buried hatchets from their pasts while discovering new passions for one another, ones they've never felt before, trying to figure out what they mean and how to deal with them.
That's when they stumble across Julian, a 13 year old boy with no one to look out for him. And Blaire wants to take him in.

      Shit gets messy from there.
