They are fast, ruthless, and powerful and have been at war with the realm of Arlan for centuries in a war known as the Mystical War. For years they fighting had remained in no-mans land, and none of the people of Arlan even knew anything about the war. There was no way to enlist and no news of progress. However in the last decade the Zar had become more powerful under new command and the war was taking a turn for the worst.

Kyra didn't expect to be chosen, she hadn't even signed up for the Hunt. It was just by chance that they had found her, and now her life was going to change forever. Being taken from her home, she was to be sent to the academy to train alongside the others that had been selected. Only those who were compatible with a companion were taken, and Kyra was about to discover abilities that she didn't even know she had. Having a dragon as a companion was extremely rare, but would the addition of another dragon rider be enough to win the war once and for all?
