She knew for a long time that her offspring, the Telkhines, were being mistreated by the gods. 
They were considered to be monsters, after all.
But this was the last straw.
Poseidon had begun to enslave her children and make them work in his forges, under the supervision of cyclops, who Nemesis knew were much more brainless than her children.
An eye for an eye, she decided, teleporting herself into a small, two bedroom apartment.
She could feel the sea that ran in the unborn child's blood as she stood above the sleeping woman.

After the dragon gulped down the entire pantheon where Kronos stored his scythe, Kronos becomes the laughing stock of the Gods. The scythe is the source of power that makes him savage and spiteful. Without it, he is nothing but a lame being, courteous and complaisant. Imagine a lion that has been scrapped off its dignity, which has now become a kitten that doesn't even have a toy to play with. He feels that humiliation! Hekate, the Goddess of Magic, agrees to summon a party to retrieve his totem. Four children are chosen and tossed into worlds they could only imagine, chasing after the scythe that can't seem to stay put. The gods expect them to fail, providing another stab at Kronos.
