Pete is a the owner of a record label, DCD2 Records, and is very busy and away often. His husband, Patrick, is a choir teacher at the local highschool in their town of Chicago and is home most of the time, unless he's teaching, to take care of their four children.
When Pete calls Patrick from Las Vegas saying that he won't be able to be home in time for Christmas, Patrick becomes angry. After a while of begging and convincing, Pete, still unsure, promises he will try to get home as soon as he can.
