Laurence stood behind the wall, listening as Dante wept into his phone."Nikole, please,"he pleaded,"I'm so sorry!"Laurence pressed his back on the wall harder, trying to rid his sympathy.
Dante went silent for a momment,"I know,"he choked,"I-I did do that but I never meant to hurt your father"
With sharp choked inhales, Dante managed,"I just w-wanted y-ou to be happy, to be f-ree.."
Dante stopped talking, Laurence could tell Nikole ended.A sudden ricochette and bang on the floor started Laurence, making him yelp.
Dante had thrown his phone, watching it numbly as the rain beat on his back.
Sighing, Laurence turned and opened the door.He walked towards Dante, stopping behind him;grabbing his shoulder,"Dante get inside, pickup your phone too, you'll get sick"Laurence demanded.
Dante silently--but hatefully--kept staring at his phone.
Laurence knew, he was just processing all the hate and depression that was about to hit them.
