Capital Kids

President Snow is dead.
Though, the new leader of Panem is no less corrupt- hungry for power, in any way he can get it.
And aside from that, he has a deep hatred of the capital, having lost his brother in the hunger games.
The capital is the strictest part of the country- the districts are thriving.
The tables have turned.
And equally so, the capital had been served a taste of their own medicine. Two children, one female, from each of the twelve sections of the capital, is to be taken to a remote location, to compete in the annual hunger games- though, to the districts, it is more a game of revenge.
Fourteen year old Mackenna Arlos is the daughter of a butcher, the the youngest of two children. Her mother was killed in an uprising against he capital when she was eight, and ever since, she has been different- oddly so.
And now, she is chosen to compete in the games.
