This is a story about an alien invasion with a bit of a twist. The story itself is quite dark, exploring what happens to individuals when a society collapses.

After what some may call a massive human extermination, life expectancy on earth is slim to none and whatever is left is basically hopeless. Survivors have split into factions and are forming rival gangs in which they are disappearing at exponential rates due to government kidnappings. Rumor is, the government is planning a meta human attack by altering the dna of those who've been taken. Once word is out everyone has to decide whether gang related battles are more important than life itself as they know it. If that isn't enough they join forces with omniscient beings, extraterrestrials, and some beings that cant really be put into one category. They find that the government isn't all laws and science and that the battle they're facing is way more complex than they could have ever imagined.

The galaxy has seen one thousand years of bitter war. Exactly one millennium ago, The Emperor, ruler of the universe and the Saviour of the Mortal Realm, sought a large tear in the space-time continuum. He found that this tear led to a dimension home to vile demonic creatures, meant to remain imprisoned in the hellish grasp of this abyssal world. Alas, he was over-ambitious, as he entered the interdimensional portal, and was struck down by an army secretly built up by conniving demon lords to invade and pulverise the Mortal Realm. These creatures are driven by primal instincts and bitter vengeance, and strive to destroy and sow chaos and strife among their prey. Once a prosperous and thriving future for the galaxy, the empire has perished in the fires of revenge, heresy and betrayal. The foul legions of evil slaughter their way ever closer to the heart of the empire, while other threats, like terror groups, otherworldly civilisations and alien monstrosities drown entire sectors of space into bloated realms of corruption and death. There is no room for weakness or mercy. Across the vastness of space, there is only war and the echoing laughter of death and despair.

Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.

We were just kids. Not experiments. Hundreds of kids were kidnapped at a young age and taken to a place called the Compound. Here they are put through ruthless tests in order to get one thing; mutants. When that breakthrough is finally achieved on A-36971 and a group of unknown people show up the next day, she takes the chance at asking for help using her new 'powers.' But getting this help came at a great cost. Once they're out and free, they realize the head scientist isn't letting them get away that easily. And he doesn't want his lifelong work to be out in the world just yet. So he'll just have to kill his experiments.

Earth found a portal to a different world. A world they want to tame. So what do they do? They take as many citizens as they can spare and make an army. They send them through the portal, telling them to slaughter the creatures that live there. Techno really doesn't want to do what the government asked him to do. But if he wants to go back to Earth he has to. Then of course they do him dirty and he now has to look after one of the creatures. His hair reminds him of the sun of Earth and he's loud. OR Tommy is an alien Techno gets an attachment to and Techno has to decide if he's willing to leave Earth behind forever, or watch his new friend get experimented on.

Proof of concept. Vaguely sci fi with the worms and the sky. I am a layman and have no understanding of anything. However, I am unwilling to use the proper setting for this plot. Will update soon. I have been shamed and humbled by the furry fanfic writers. Writing errors abound.
