Ever since Mary died and John abandoned the boys, leaving them with their "uncle" Bobby, Dean hasn't been the same. His days consist of staring at the ceiling and sleeping. He doesn't seem to feel any happiness anymore. But when Bobby makes them stay in California for a few months, Dean meets a new friend-- the sunshine of his life, actually.

In Math class, Winter notices Dean has a particular interest in a guy named Castiel Novak, so she takes matters into her own hands, juggling hunting, homework, and a relationship that isn't even her own. Things work out just fine until an awry incident causes Dean and Cas to go missing after school one day. Soon after, a life-threatening trade may just cause Winter her life, but maybe it's worth it. This story involves Teen!Cas and Teen!Dean, so I suppose you could call it a high-school AU. The story is under major construction, so some parts are going to be a little jagged until i can go back and edit them. It's non-slash, but more on the fluffy side.
