Like Water For Chocolate: Rosaura's Story.

Based on the book, 'Like water For Chocolate' by the mexican author Laura Esquivel, this monologue portrays the other side of the story- through the apparent antagonist, Rosaura's eyes. Her story that was misunderstood, her story that was never told to begin with.
The book 'Like Water for Chocolate' was made into a film in 1992, is based during the time of the Mexican Civil War and focuses on the brutality of Mexican tradition towards women and belongs to the magical realism genre.
