Everyday is just excruciating. Being mistaken as his brother, people forgetting his name, not even being seen at all. It's pain for Matthew. In his mind, he's slowly dying. But it's nothing compared to his unexpected new friend... who in fact is physically dying. How will the events play out? Will it be in their favor? Will they learn from each other? Or will time run out?....
((This fanfiction completely ignores the personifications and focuses mainly on real world issues that the characters may face. If you're not fond of hearing about depression or death, this story may not be for you. But if you're into the feels, be prepared~ Hetalia and characters don't belong to me. Only the story idea. Romano never really liked Prussia, and Prussia never cared to get to know Romano. They never realized that they were alike in many ways, or that they had a certain feeling hidden deep inside for each other that would only come out once they got to know each other. Spain invites his two best friends, Prussia and France, over for a sleep over one night. Late at night while Spain and France were sound asleep, Prussia decides to go see if Romano was awake too. He needed something to do and he figured annoying Romano would be fun. He enjoyed seeing the strange Italian for some reason, but didn't want Spain to know he was hanging with him, so when he goes back to the room with his friends, he finds them awake. They ask where he was but he doesn't think it would be quite a good idea to tell them, so, he asks Spain if they can have a sleep over every week. Little does Spain know, Prussia just wants to see Romano every night to get to know him secretly in a romantic-story way. Or does he? I don't own Hetalia or the cover photo. Also Spain has a different house so just go along with it. I suck at writing accents so no I am not putting in accents. You can just think of how it would sound with them. (School AU) (Y/n) (L/n) is a very smart young lady. She always gets good marks on her quizzes and tests. She's nice to everyone and tries to stay positive around her peers/friends/family. However, behind closed doors she tends to break down. She has an older sister with mental health issues and an older brother whom she used to confide in but he moved away and barely visited and talked to his family. This only made the girl's life worse. Her childhood friend and neighbor, Gilbert stopped talking to her as much when he started middle school, but she still hung out with Ludwig. Her mother was always stressed between being a single mom and dealing with her sister. So the girl used her studies and books as an escape method from the real world. Of course she had some friends, but not many really GOOD friends. NOTE: The reader has Situational Depression DISCLAIMER: I do not own Hetalia, the characters, art, or the au. I only own the plot and whatnot. It's been a long time since Matthew, the incarnation of Canada, was out drinking with his friends Magnus, Berwald and Lukas so he's happy when they ask him to go out with them, but on the next day nobody seems to know where he went. Canada, also known as Matthew Williams, is always being ignored. He is constently confused for his brother America, known as Alfred F. Jones, and beaten up by other countries and nations just to 'get even with America'. Everybody thinks Canada is a weak country, that it's never seen war, that its people have never died for a cause. Canada decides to not go to a meeting one day to help his air force practice in case of an emergency. When the countries and nations realize he isn't there, they find a strange book instead. They decide to read it and find a note on the inside. Will everyone realize that maybe some ignore Canada because he makes them uncomfortable? Or is it just because he is usually peaceful? The book holds many secrets about Canada, some probably should be left in the dark, but only if the nations react badly. Okay, disclaimer, probably not terrible secrets, but this will be interesting.
