Max thought that when she was sent to the psych hospital it was over. She was sure people would stop talking about the suicide attempt and certain she could go back to being invisible. But when her father decides he has had enough she is sent on a cross-country road trip with an uncle she barely knows to a school for troubled girls. Julian had enough to worry about, a wife who left him a failing business, and a family who didn't respect him. But when he is tasked with taking his niece across the country they both discover the best thing for each of them may be each other.
