Josh with his two other ranger buddies and a small group of recruits had just witnessed one of the first falls of a once peaceful walled city, now fallen to the infected. Once human, but now beyond recognition, turned into wild, crazed predators by some kind of force of nature with the only intention of killing and devouring everything in their sight. The group now needs to use their training more than ever to overcome this disaster and their only plan for survival is to meet up with any surviving rangers or citizens from the walled city and head to the only place that they know is safe, the Citadel of Starford. But with the infected at every turn, escaped convicts, and people that have gone crazed, they have to not only protect themselves from the enemy, they have to protect the very thing that still keeps them sane, their humanity.
