Alaska Collins. Goes by Al. Living with her two happily married parents and older brother, Lucas, in the quiet town of Salt Lake City, Utah, she couldn’t be living a more normal life.

She dreams of living on a beach somewhere in California but her parents would never have her living the life of a beach-bum with more worries of catching the next wave than getting a proper job.

Al and her friends take a summer vacation to Huntington Beach for the summer before they find out what they're doing with their lives.

She seems to be taking up on her full ride to NYU next fall with her mom and dad in full agreement.

That is until she meets full-spirited traveler – Drew Chadwick.
