A 2075 solar system calamity is approaching. Earth's projected collision with Apex comet in 3055 requires relocation of some segment of earth's population if humanity is to survive.

The moon will also be destroyed in the collision. Mars is the closest site to relocate new generations, but at 140 million miles, it's too far.

The United States-China federation, led by president Thomas Jason, makes the secret decision to construct a "PlaNet" a quarter the size of the moon to house humanity some two million miles from earth. The plan is contrary to Mars colonists' plans and is fueled by Jason's enormous greed and the United World Mine Workers' bribery scheme geared to lock up lucrative decades-long contracts to extract the raw material necessary to build PlaNet.

If left unchecked, Jason's untenable plan guarantees humanity's extinction well ahead of earth's impending destruction.

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.

The Golden Age- When the Traveler arrived, a time of peace, prosperity, and infinite possibility sprouted from Earth. Mankind had launched hundreds- if not, thousands- of journeys across the system, connecting Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, even Mercury into an increasingly large web of life and technology. Fast forward to the end of the Golden Age- The Collapse and the Dark Age- alien races surge forth from outside the system- the Eliksni, the Hive, The Cabal, The Vex- all coming for the Traveler. He fought them all, sending his Light, his Power out, crushing the opposition. Then, He was crippled, retreating to a small town. Fast forward to the beginning of our age- The City Age- With His dying breath, The Traveler created the Ghost- small machines that can revive those capable of wielding the Light- His Power- and fight the Darkness. The Hunters scout out terrain, reclaim Dead Zones, and are the eyes and ears of the City- the Warlocks research the secrets of the fundamental ideas of the Darkness, predict future events, and enthrall themselves in the workings of the Light to understand it and to find new ways to work it into the Guardians arsenal- and finally, the Titans, Defenders of the Last City, and the burning lights of hope in the shadows. Honor-driven. Leaders. Warriors. The Protectors of Humanity. Deeply intertwined in the history of the Last City. What happens when one is reborn and becomes one of the few able to wield the flame of hope as his own, to burn off the shackles of darkness that have been crushing humanity's will and hope to dust, What happens when he experiences so much tragedy, so much pain, that he delves into the shadows? What happens, when he finally snaps? And what happens to his loved ones when they are forced to put him down? And what will his Legend become, if he himself threatens the safety of the Last City. --------------- Thanks go out to the wonderful girl that most would know as @ShadowPine for the Cover art. "With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood." Acts 1:18-19 ••• The year is 2100. North America and Asia are at war. After an unknown source pisses off the newly acquired leaders, Asian military forces release their biggest weapons on the opposing continent with absolutely no mercy: 6 one hundred megaton nuclear bombs. 90% of the population is destroyed. The only ones to survive are those on the outskirts: the small ring-like areas blown apart but unaffected by the radiation. One of those people is Alexandra Blake. Bruised and desperate, she must fight her way through the wreckage to find her family. She meets several others along the way, including a scarred, beautiful boy named Luke and his clan of warriors. But as tensions rise, the death toll does too, and it becomes clear that her family is the least of Alex's problems. There's something bigger going on, something massive, somehow involving Luke and the soldiers he leads. Tangled up in the mess, there's nothing she can do but sit back and watch it all unfold. 2016 @ psychxtichemmings
