Amelia is hungry but she can't eat...
She is tired but she can't sleep...
She is sad but she can't cry...
Suicidal but she can't die...
~~~
Dean isn't hungry but he still eats...
He isn't tired but he's always asleep...
He can no longer feel yet he finds himself crying...
Not suicidal but already dying...
~~~
Amelia and Dean are just complete opposites. Amelia is driven to not eat while Dean is driven to never stop. Amelia is used to hearing her stomach rumble and Dean never gives it a chance to. He can feel his thighs rub together with every step he takes. She can fit a cup in her thigh gap.
The only things they have in common are the scars on their wrists and the voices in their heads chanting the numbers on the scale as if it were there own personal songs.
~~~
Both eating too little and eating too much are actual diseases of the mind. Can Amelia and Dean help each other as they struggle to survive the every day hassles of modern society?
