Alexa is a privileged sixteen year old girl who gets good grades and has dreams of becoming a biologist. Ezra is a seventeen year old orphaned dropout who makes what little money he has performing as a musician and lives in the slums with his brother. Both end up in an underground society full of scientists, and they are the test subjects. The experiment start's out innocent enough, testing the human correlation between pleasure, and pain, but soon the innocent tests become more and more sinister. They must put their societal differences aside and team up to escape before one, or both of them lose their lives to the sadistic experiments of the underground society, and put an end to them for good.

Even on Krypton, she was misunderstood. When she was younger and her mother asked about boys or boyfriends, Kara would always reply, "No, Mommy! I wanna have a girlfriend." Which was unheard of. Kara's feelings towards girls were punishable by death, much like some countries on Earth. So. when she was old enough to understand the risk of loving who she wanted, she suppressed her feelings and convinced herself that she loved boys. On Earth, years later, she meets someone who makes it impossible to ignore her feelings, but she has never made her feel as amazing as Lena Luthor. Lena Luthor was raised in a home where you could be beaten for simply looking at someone. She didn't bother with love or figuring out her feelings about all of her friends. It just wasn't important. When she moved away and her brother was put in jail, she assumed that she was attracted to men. She didn't know otherwise. But when she met Kara Danvers, every thought she ever had about being straight was proven wrong. This was what love felt like.
