I'm Yamato Kusuo! A former 19 year old college student. I was told by some sketchy gods I went into a coma. Don't ask me I don't remember why.. I was given a chance to transmigrate to another world to avoid boredom while my body lays still. I, like any other lucky bored teenager, agreed and was knocked into sleep right after. Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others). Welcome to fantasy amateur hours! This is my first time writing that kind of novel. Hopefully there's a bit of improvement along the way. Feel free to tell me what works or not! Occasionally drowning in irl-work, so chapters will be published semi-regularly, whenever I find some time to write. (Usually updated at least once per week.)
