Life has always been slightly on the strange side for Cassie Williams.

When Cassie moves to British Columbia all the way from Manitoba and leaves her friends behind, she couldn't care less about making new friends. That is, until a new girl who goes by the name of Kate Conway finds Cassie. Kate is rather odd compared to all of the girls at Cassies school. She's reckless, wild and has a fear of cats. Without a second doubt, Cassie befriends this new girl.
