In a world with a corrupt government and a trashed economy the homeless are hunted and families are limited to one child.
Any families caught with more then one child is kidnapped and publicly killed excepted for the first born childhood is put into slavery.
They limit the kids because as evolution comes the wish to keep track of the gifted ones, but as the gifted ones grow more rapidly will the government control them or be over thrown?

If we humans have proven one thing, is that we are not one of the most destructive, but 'the' most destructive creatures on the planet. Once upon a time, we were unrivaled as a species, but after a certain experiment with unforeseen results, that time was done. A few select animals spread their gifts, planned carefully, and took dominance out from humanity's nose. The animals wanted to solve the overpopulation and bring balance by killing those who they saw unworthy of life since they would only hurt others while the semi-guilty and innocent are given new rules. War for Change
Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. In 2037, in the middle of nowhere, lies a newly built testing lab, owned by the government. The government is unfortunately corrupted, and has led the whole country into disaster. People are starving, and the whole economy is falling apart. Since the government needs a new way to get out of this terrible situation, they are finding new ways to make money. Fortunately for them, science has blessed them with a new discovery- a new blood type. The people with the new blood type are said to be able to be resistant to most high falls, and also are stronger than the average human being. They are now capturing people with the new blood type, blood type AE positive. You just happen to be one of those people with the rare blood and you drive in an attempt to escape the clutches of the Obelus. Unfortunately, your attempt has failed, and you are now trapped in a cell waiting for testing. You are their newest subject, subject number 43.Complete
Population Control
You know what? No one wants to admit it, but we're all running out of room. People are blind. We're too many. Every year, more of us pile onto this rotting planet. Bodies, faces, minds pushing, shoving, breathing, eating, consuming. But what are we really? Resources. And guess what? Resources expire. We can't just keep packing in more and more. People are already useless. We've been useless for a long time, and yet we're allowed to walk around, pretending we matter. Pretending we aren't just feeding into this endless cycle of death.

I have been learning about different things throughout my life and have yet to master anything. I'm your typical person; I have a wife and two kids, a dog, a cat, and live in a house in a small community in BC. I was raised on the Prairies and understand the value of hard work. I have studied business, economics, commodity trading, carpentry, and other functions within our society, all which have led me to write this story, the story of a burning son. So what is The Burning Son all about? It's a quest to change the way we perceive our global society, and an effort to change the way we look at our history and our future. Our society has operated efficiently and progressively for centuries. It's about the stories that exist, it's about the technologies that exist, it's about our world, our planet, our force, and our time.Complete
