Basically, the main character was brought up in a secret lab, he escapes about when he's 10, and meets someone who can help him try to live a 'normal' life. He gets sucked into an ancient battle by an old prophecy found by someone very close to him. He must go on an epic quest to fulfill his destiny as he is faced with many trials along his path.



Alright, so this is kind of a maximum ride parody, but only in the fact that the main character was an experiment and ended up gaining powers . This book, its plot, and all the characters(unless specified) belong to me.All Rights Reserved

Cleopatra still has to figure out how to live in this world. Twyla hope's her dad survives. Vampiris is starting to get her mothers and grandfathers powers. Jackson and Holt might have a chance at a separate life. Amara is a normie, but she hates it. She rather be a monster, and this prophecy might help her achieve her goals and wishes.

Rex Salzar has cured every one of the harmful nanites and he alone remains with his Evo powers. An 'Evo' stands for Exponentially Variegated Organism. It's when "nanites" (which are small as cells but are little machines) randomly activate inside their hosts (human or animal) giving them powerful abilities. But it usually mutates them into monsters that are most times, mindless and destructive. But him being an exception as he retains his sanity and human form only using his ability to turn parts of his body (arms and feet) into various machines in self-defense against other Evos. Making him even more special is that he can cure other Evos. This story takes place after he has cured the world of that plight as he worked along with an organization called Providence. Rex now questions the need for him to be a hero anymore. He knew he was doing the right thing since his deceased parents who died during the first outbreak of nanties would want him to use his powers for good. But he wonders if this may be a good opportunity for him to start living a normal teenage life. Making matters worse he gets put on a seemingly boring mission to follow an advertising company that goes to underdeveloped towns that promises to give the people better lives. Worse yet he gets placed with his long-time partner Kenwyn Jones to go to one of the Caribbean Islands where this is taking place. The two had never really gotten along but he accepts the mission anyway to what at first glance may seem like a vacation to paradise to him. But when the locals start to lock their doors and windows at the sound of an ice cream truck and others who go out are never seen again may be a sign that his job is just not finished. That is if he's up to the task of being an everyday hero ATTENTION- I do not own Rex or any of Man Of Action properties/ past plots mentioned/ characters. That being said hope you enjoy and this story is fandom blind.

In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner.
