Valerie seems to have the typical "horrible life." She never met her mom, she has the worst step mom and step sister imaginable, and her dad lets her step mom make and enforce all of the rules.
She only has one friend who is always there for her, Calvin. They've been best friends since sixth grade, and even though they have a crush on each other, Calvin won't date her until her parents can allow her to have a boyfriend.
When her parents finally let her date him, all of her dreams have come true...until she comes face to face with her worst enemy's brother, Dean. She finds out something no one else knows about him after wondering what made him so different from the other guys. This secret makes her think about how she feels about Calvin.

16 year old Danae's life is slowly going downhill with trying to get a job and get into college. His mum doesn't make it any easier though. Btw I imagine Danae similar to Cole from the Netflix Series: My Life With The Walter Boys. And I imagine Eden to look like a brunette version of Sarah from Outer Banks.
