Ever since the beginning of time, a tournament would be held every 100 years...

The legendary Pokemon were to choose a champion and afterwards both the legendary Pokemon and their hand-picked champion would venture into the Garden of Time and have their champion battle the champions of the other legendary Pokwmon.

The strongest champions were to become legendary Pokemon themselves and they would be assigned a region which they must govern.

The strongest champions in the last tournament were the champions of Darkrai, Cresselia, Coballion, Victini, and Regirock. The champions were Yveltal, Xerneas, Zygarde, Hoopa, and Diancie, respectively.

100 years have passed and it is time for another tournament, this time the Kalos legends get to take their turn in participating in the tournament and choosing a champion, but as soon as they do, disaster strikes...
