After his parents fall ill to a disease no one can cure, Lem and his new-found companions, brought together for various reasons, search for a way to take the Grelian Stone. This stone, which can decimate an army in an instant, and bring back Lem's parents, is in the hands of the dreaded Lord Dolritch, who will do all in his power to keep them from taking it. On their quest, they begin to realize, however, that other powers may be at work.
