Prodigy and Nickayla have been knowing each other since the 6th grade.they always had and attraction for each other but they couldn't talk to each other because of the fact of the people they associated with. It wasnt like they were forbidden to go with each other. It was more like he talked to one of her friends and your not suppose to talk to a friends ex. That was one of the main rules of girl codes. And another one of Nickayla's friends wanted to talk to Craig, so that made it worst. So over time they stopped tripping of the fact that they had an connection and just started dating other people. But everything changed when summer had came along.

Amlyne had been fighting the feelings she felt for Jeffrey Alan or Jeff for 10 years. They met when she was 11 and he was 14. He had moved from Vermont to South Carolina. He was a chubby boy who wanted nothing more than to race cars. She was a be-speckled, mousy 11 year old who just tried to stay out of the way of bullies. The day they met something happened. They became as close as brother and sister. They ran and played, climbed trees, worked on cars, and read Race Car magazines. She looked up to him as the brother she never had.
