They met shortly after the Nabooian crisis at the Jedi Temple. He was the Chosen One, she was the child of two dark Jedi, abandoned at the Temple. His Force abilities were astounding; hers, simply shocking. He was in love with the former Queen of Naboo, she quickly fell for him. 

Their friendship grew quickly, until he left for the Outer Rims.
