Ever since Tasha's parents were divorced,Tasha has wished she could live with her mother. But her father says it's out out of the question~the judge has awarded him custody.Finally,after years living apart,Tasha and her mom steal away together together to start a new life,erasing every trace of their past.
For Tasha,living in secret bring an unexpected new freedom; the chance for Tasha, her mother,and her mother companion,Janey, to live together as a family. But it also means changing her name and being careful about what she tells her new friends. And as Tasha puts her old life behind her, she knows she can never completely let go. For living in sercret ultimately means that the past is always as close as her own shadow~it can shatter the present in an instant.
