The Academy is for people who are different. Magic, Werewolves, Vampires basically any super natural being. You go to learn everything you need to and stay until you're done. The Elders run it, the supernatural world, and The Academy. But unlike everyone else that shows up at age 12. Anastasiya was found as a baby in the woods not far from Wolburk with a wolf next to her and a note on her chest.   
Being raises by the elders everyone could tell she was different. Especially when the note read,
