I ran up to my room and slipped into my favorite tweety-bird pajama shorts. I tied my hair up and began to wash my face. I still don't know if I should tell anyone what I saw tonight. I only want the best for Ellie and I wouldn't want her to think otherwise. I went to bed and pulled the covers over me. Before I closed my eyes, I saw that my clock read 11:57.
Just as I was about to fall asleep I heard a knock downstairs. I sat up and heard Mr. Richards' voice but it didn't have the same happy and joyous tone to it.
"She's gone," he whispered, before his sobbing took over his body.
