Malia had always had a pretty normal life. Well in her way of normal which wasn't very normal at all. She was a Shadowhunter. She killed demons and watched over downworlders to make sure none of them stepped out of line, but recently everything in her life has been chaotic. Finding out her father was Valentine Morgenstern, who is one of the most cruel Shadowhunters; he wants to kill every downworlder and have a "pure world", whatever that means. The girl her brother loves is their sister and her new friend, Simon, is a vampire that can walk during the day. The Shadowhunters of the New York institute have been called to Idris, the home of Shadowhunters, too prepare for a war that Valentine has caused. Will she make it out of this war without losing her mind? Or worse her life.
This story is based off of the Mortal Instruments. Every character belongs to the lovely Cassandra Clare, except Malia.

Just like Jace was close to Alec, so was Kayla. Her and Alec was very close. She was the one person he opened up to, and showed a different side of him. As they grew older Kayla grew feelings for Alec, as did Alec. Soon they started dating and have been since. The four shadow hunters' daily life was the same, they went on a missions and killed demons. That was until Clary Fray came along.
