I was choking on air and my vision was a blur ,for a while I thought I was going to die .Mustering all the courage that I could have found, I yanked him away from me. Mean while I was gasping for the air, that dickhead had his usual cocky smirk. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Oh, here we go again-another friends-to-lovers story. I know what you're thinking: Doesn't everyone write these? Isn't this trope overdone? And honestly? You're not wrong. It's the kind of story we've all seen a thousand times. Childhood friends, shared memories, unspoken feelings-it's familiar, maybe too familiar. But hear me out, because this story? It's a little different. Or at least, that's what I'm hoping for. You see, this isn't just a simple tale of two friends realizing they're meant to be. No, it's going to take time-a slow burn, the kind that makes you want to yell at the characters to just get together already. There will be tension, moments of "almost," and plenty of "what ifs." But along the way, there will also be laughter, growth, and those little moments that make you fall in love with their story as much as they fall for each other. It won't be perfect-real love stories never are. There will be misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and some walls to break down. But that's what makes it worth it, right? The journey. The messy, complicated, beautiful journey. So, buckle up. Maybe you'll roll your eyes once or twice. Maybe you'll scream at the characters through the pages. But hopefully, you'll also laugh, smile, and, by the end of it, feel like the journey was worth it. Let's have some fun with this. Shall we?

This is a real, love story. By real, I mean it's a frustrating story. I promise you this: it's definitely not like the love stories by Nicholas Sparks, where the guy always gets the girl, or vice versa. You know what I'm talking about, right? He always writes those beautiful, attractive stories, where the guy falls in accidental, deep love with the girl, experiencing some small tragedy that breaks the heart of every reader. Any way, the point is that this story is nothing like that. Nope, that is just not me. This is the story of an average girl who attends an average college and who shares the average anxieties of every other individual. Yes, she falls in love with a guy, but she'll never admit that to anyone, especially not herself. This is the story of her modern love, of sex and inevitable attachment, of fast falling and easy emotion, and of overthinking and unanswered questions. It's a story that I'm sure everyone can relate to in one way or another. It all happens in 34 short days. She meets a guy, who ultimately leaves her with more questions than answers, but I suppose that is half of the allure. If you want a taste of the real world, of a love affair and self discovery from beginning to end, here it is. Be warned: what happens is pretty shitty.
