He was sitting there, drinking his coffee, as he clasp his hands around the to-go cup. I positioned the camera parallel to him, getting the right angle, and finally pressing the capture button. I have to do it discreetly so that he won't be able to notice it. I bit my lip as I picked up the camera from its position from the table. I looked at the picture and smiled, it was fascinating.

He was imperfectly perfect.

I looked up from my camera to see his emerald orbs staring right at me, with a small smile tugging on his lips. My eyes widen and I immediately leveled down my eyes. I started to take other pictures from the view outside of the coffee shop, taking pictures of the cityscape, to avoid the awkward scenario.

Then I feel a warm presence beside me... I looked up to see him, towering over me.

"Hi. My name's Michael." he chimed as he gave me a heart-melting smile.

I smiled back and then I knew, I was captured.

cold coffee - clifford

23 parts Complete

Voicemail, yet again. Taking a deep breath, I start the message. "Hey, I've called you again. This is the last one, I swear. Remember when we would chat forever and ever? We would always drink hot coffee together and talk about our pointless day. It was a daily thing, until you found someone else to occupy your time. I wasn't needed anymore, so you cast me out. I'm in our place, same spot. When you decide to meet me again, I'll be here. I won't talk to you. All that I will spare you is a small glance and some cold coffee." Ending the voicemail, I collapse back into the chair and wait for the response that will never come. cover by @xHemmingsHugsx
