Camila is a tree hugging activists kid. She was raised to accept any and all as they are, and makes her mission to educate those around her in acceptance. It took her almost two long years at her last school, and she is unfortunately forced to move to a whole new place, where she has to start all over again. It wouldn't upset her so much if it wasn't her senior year. Her hopes of a quiet year of just enjoying her high school experience wasn't in the cards for her, so she's forced to make it at Miami high where the schools only open lesbian suffers from close minded bullying. After seeing how close minded and segregated the students are, she hopes she doesn't bite off more than she can chew.

Lauren and Camila know a lot about each other, except for, well, each other's names. They've been writing handwritten, anonymous letters to each other for an English assignment for a couple months now and during that time, Lauren's developed a genuine interest for a girl who's handwriting resembles a child's first attempt at holding a pencil. But she couldn't be more charmed by it. What happens when Lauren unexpectedly realizes that the shy girl in her class who she doesn't know a single thing about has the exact same handwriting as in the letters she anticipates reading every single day? THIS IS NOT MY STORY!
