Saving My True Mate

The day before my 18th birthday I ran away. I didn't care were I would end up, just as long as it wasn't back home. I knew the moment I went into heat my mate would find me, and that would only bring him death. My parents have a plan to marry me off to another wolf, a soon-to-be alpha of another, stronger pack. They are only in this for power. His true mate has already been killed and I do not wish the same fate to mine. That's why I ran, and I'm not going to stop. I just wish I could have found out their plan before it was too late.
Kathleen's parents were never mates, both of their true mates were killed so they could be married to bring together their packs and become even stronger.
