Everyone has a past, it doesn't matter how terrible it is, everyone has one. They affect people in different ways, some become depressed, a pessimist, anxious, anorexic. Noelle Winter has a past, a past that broke her in so many different ways, so now she suffers from all the above. And worst of all, because she wears long sleeves and black clothes, she's goth. Because she has a few small tattoos she's a freak. Because she simply doesn't give a fuck, she's a bitch. Because she drowns in reality and the ghosts of her past suffocate her, she's insane. A monster. And only death can stop a monster. 

So that's why she slit her wrists to finally be at peace, before she was once again ripped away and forced into a mental institution.
