Two rival families have been at war for decades. But what tears them apart, also brings them closer together...

In a world where daemons and humans live side-by-side, young Teddy Gerhardt thinks that the world couldn't be more normal; she has a great family and a great education. But things aren't so great when a rivalling family threatens total liquidation on your own.

The Gerhardts and the Embertons are the exact definition of 'competitive.' For many years they've been at war, each trying to expand their family businesses throughout the American Midwest. This, however, usually ends in bloodshed.

And on one spring evening, Teddy meets witty and handsome Nat Emberton, and things take a different turn. Little does Teddy know that history is repeating itself...
