Being named after the country your mother had a free-lance love affair in is hard, and only being able to explain that with sign language is harder. Kenya isn't deaf, no, she's been diagnosed with RRP, a disease that's stolen her voice.
What's even harder than that, is the disease that's just made it's way into her life, a dumb boy who can hear her just fine.
Link won't take a hint, and she doesn't need anything with a Y chromosome interfering with her one way shot into her dream art program.
There's something Link isn't saying, though.... Whether he's not admitting to if he was the one who stole Kenya's colby jack cheese straight from her fridge, or if he knows anything about the wolves circling her property nightly.
Either way, Kenya is determined to find out.
