It’s been seven years since Maylynn’s childhood best friend moved. Or more like disappeared. Maylynn never knew why or where Michael had gone, just that one day he was there and the next he wasn’t. Being the oblivious child that she was, Maylynn just assumed he had left because he was tired of her clingy antics. It took years for her to forget about Michael, yet his memory still lingered.
The strong bond formed by the two children has lasted forever. Maylynn wasn’t been able to make any new friends, because most of the other kids were afraid they weren’t good enough. I wouldn’t blame them; Maylynn carried herself around as if no friendship could possibly be as amazing as the one between her and Michael. It took many years, a new student, and a developing crush until Maylynn gradually began gaining friends.
So what happens when Michael mysteriously reappears? Is he here to stay? Will Maylynn give up her new found friends for a long lasting bond created since the age of two? Michael may have reappeared and life may seem on the upside for Maylynn, but what if it was all…Fiction?
