Being wealthy meant everything in the world during 2405, for centuries people have had their count down to their death implanted into the arm by a strange machine when they were born. By having money you were able to expand your life time and basically live forever, but going bankrupt or being born into a poor family can be an instant death. Sure you can share some of your time with another by a simple hand motion, but who would want that when you can have it for yourself? By being so advanced in technology, scientist were able to make it seem like you stopped aging once you hit twenty five because who would want to live forever without the looks or energy?
One day Louis Tomlinson, an extremely wealthy man, had bumped into a boy in the streets who he had learned was named Harry and suddenly felt interested in someone else besides himself.
This story's concept about being able to control your life span is completely inspired by the movie "In Time".
