What if natural disasters, diseases, and other events that have happened from the start of earth creation could have been prevented?
In this tale, there are people meant to protect the earth and they do the best they can. In some cases though the dark beings that cause the horrible events of the earth slip through and cause damage before they can be stopped properly. This is how it has been since nearly the start of earths times. The protectors have changed and the powers they hold have been passed down to new humans. The current protectors had been already dealing with an increase in dark activities and now they find out why. What happens when darkness starts overtaking the light.
~~ This is a massive rework on the first story I ever started writing back in 5th-6th grade. Any Suggestions, fixes, or criticisms are always welcome! I hope to make this into a 2-3 book series and I can not wait to really get back into my writing!! Thank you for reading and supporting!!~~

The Unordinary
Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. This is not an Apocalypse
The world is changing, two years ago strange weather, various anomalies and strange creatures started appearing from nowhere all over the world. Some creatures were completely alien and others were familiar looking as if they'd stepped from myth and legend. What many of these creatures had in common however was their aggressive nature and predatory instinct. Things that go bump in the night, that shifting shadow in the dark alley way, the cracking branch right behind you. Nightmarish creatures now stalk the land. Monsters. That isn't the only change in a new world however, humans have also changed. Some unknown phenomenon has granted humanity access to incredible power. The very elements themselves can now be wielded by those willing to risk the dangers. Earth, wind, fire, water, suddenly magic has become possible in a modern world and there are many who are eager to develop and embrace their newfound power and help protect their fellow man from monsters. There are also many who are willing to make a profit from newfound opportunities this changing world provides. Unfortunately for our MC Jack, embracing newfound power and going out to valiantly battle monsters isn't quite as simple as most other people have it. He possesses the rare and not so sought after lightning element, considered the weakest element for certain reasons, pitied and looked down upon Jack is determined to become a successful monster hunter in a more and more dangerous world. A slow burn story with world building, dungeon delving, character progression, Litrpg elements and more. WARNING - The MC is not a Mary Sue, he is not super competent, or super powerful or super intelligent nor a paragon of virtue, just a normal guy in a not so normal situation and him growing to deal with it in his own way.

The light and the fire
This is my first novel that I decided to write for people to see, I was told I was good at writing. Basically this novel is about elemental beings and mystical beings fighting against the demonic creatures of hell. The story is mainly action and adventure, has humour and a little bit of romance at few parts and corse language aka swearing and other insulting language. There is also gore and other types of violence in some chapters that are not sutible for children and can just gross people out.
