Maya Hart, Riley Matthews best friends since they were kindergarten, they share everything together, secrets, clothes, food. Maya always have Riley's back and Riley have hers, The Matthews treated Maya as their own daughter since Maya has rarely have her mom by her side, Katy always busied her self with works to give allowance to Maya but Katy never was at home. 
One day Maya is invited to have Christmas together with the Matthews, that was the best Christmas experience Maya had ever had because Maya met Shawn hunter, Cory long lost best friend and  Joshua Matthews, who are Cory's little brother and Riley's Uncle but only have 2 years age gap. Maya have started having a crush on Josh who always rejected Maya. Maya once told Josh she's "In it for the long game".

3 years have past, Maya and Riley are in their seniors years, many things has changes in those 3 years, Maya has a perfect family with Shawn and Katy, Riley are with Lucas, Maya have moved on from Josh and found a boy who appreciated her existence. 
Josh come back with big news, everyone was happy about the big news except Maya, Maya despite seeing Josh and she didn't even give Josh acknowledgment that Josh is there.

Josh have just realised he have feelings for Maya Hart after 3 years of them not talking to each other and him ignoring Maya existence, I guess karma has him, the feelings that he gave Maya before is returned back to him from Maya her self .

Josh found out that Maya have found her guy but it doesn't stop Josh to find solution to steal Maya Hart Heart, but of course he got help from the experts...

Goofy, spontaneous, and a little dangerous. They've realized how much they need each other, but they have also noticed the disorganized and sometimes reckless nature of their relationship.
