C.J. Walker is a young African American student living in South Central Los Angles with a single mother, a sickly and depressed little sister, and a troublesome little brother. On a day to day basis he must overcome gangs, violence, peer pressure, and his own demons in order to find his own identity in a society who picked it for him at birth.
