Six months ago, Glinda's best friend Elphaba, aka the Wicked Witch of the West, was killed in battle. Glinda would watch the western skies for a sign that her friend had miraculously survived, only to meet a strange and unexpected traveler who could possibly hold the future of Oz in his hands and his mysterious Blue Box.
Elphaba had been travelling with a large circus with her lover Fiyero, making friends and growing stronger in her magic, and strangely being accepted with her green skin. However, when a threat appears and puts the lives of her friends in danger, Elphaba will have to make a choice that will alter the course of time itself.
