All light is drained from the world, only leaving lamps to the good. The shadows hold unrelenting evil, ready to strike whoever is "brave" enough to leave the comfort of their never draining lights. However that doesn't stop thousands from trying. Can it be possible for one human to see into the darkness and find the prophesied exit? Or will it just turn into an urban legend.

"We caused the end of the world. Turns out it's easier than you might think it is. All you need is a group of eco anarchists and an ounce of magic, and the world goes down in a poof." After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Every night, I've looked out my window, just watching for it. They say the monster you see is better than the monster you don't. But, no one who's seen this monster has been able to describe it for us. No one's survived to. For some reason though, I can't help but look. I bet that's why the tourists don't come back from the woods, because they can't stop themselves from looking. That's how it catches them. I hope it doesn't catch me.Complete
