The Bus Stop Effect (svtfoe tomco)

You can become best friends with the person at the bus stop. In time, of course. It may be awkward at first and neither of you say a word, but maybe they'll have a pin on their bag of your favorite character and it sparks up a conversation. You talk more and more, even about the smallest things, such as how dark it is outside or how much sleep you got last night. It's chilly in the mornings so you offer each other your coat.
But the minute the Tin Can shows up, everything changes. You don't know each other. You sit in the front while the other sits in the back with some friends. You don't talk at school or even look at them. This is what I call the Bus Stop Effect.
