I always get told that I have to be a leader, that I can't be told what I should do to fit in, and that it's okay to be different, but what if I can't be a leader? What if being different doesn't get me anywhere?

I thought it would be therapeutic for me to go back into my past and revisit the relationships and moments in my life that I never stop thinking about. I must warn you, I was an asshole. You would assume that if you were a princess then you would want to stay one wouldn't you? What if I told you what you have to do when you're a princess, would you still want to be one? I highly doubt it. When all you do is learn different languages get changed several times a day and meet strange people who you don't even want to meet in the first place. No I didn't think you would want to but what if you suddenly met the prince of your dreams; you told him everything you ever knew about yourself yet you know that he knows even more. But then one day your dreams came crashing down separating the two of you and leaving you with no one. No family. No friends. No nothing. What would you do then?

I want to belong. But being me... makes it difficult. Anywhere I go I stand out. And just when I think I've found my place... Nope. Even at the Society I'm a freak. I'm sick of it. Still I don't have anywhere else to go. Nowhere else is safe. I have to stay at the Society... I have to keep "safe." But what if I wasn't really protected at the Society either? I wish I was just human... This snow leopard shape-shifting thing may sound awesome, but it's not.

This is mostly just my journal, I hope to get a hold of reality as I change my thoughts into words. I hope that this book gives me clarity and I hope it encourages you to change perspective on the topics or themes I will discuss. I am no expert when it comes to encouraging and providing guidance. I am simply a 20 year old (at the time of writing) male who only wishes to touch as many lives as possible in the short life I have the pleasure of living. Lost In The Mind of Me
Laid upon the pages of this book is a story. This is an autobiography. I struggled with writing this and, as you will soon understand, though I knew how to write it, writing it and thinking about it was difficult. I have not labeled the chapters in hopes that you will read all the way through. You may understand me a little more if you do so, but, on the same note, you may end up hating me. I do not know what your reaction will be, but I will allow your opinion of me. I give you full permission to judge me, only when you read everything. This is on my struggles with mental illness, traumatic events, my opinions, my thoughts, my feelings; this is a tour of my mind. Be warned, it's dark and haunted. But I felt it important for me to write this, so maybe I can overcome it. Thank you for picking this text to enlighten you. I am not the smartest, nor am I the wisest, but I will do my best to paint a delicate image in your mind by how I string together my semblant words.
