Meldoy Anderson is the loser of the school. She is quiet, get's bullied, and is abused at home, yet noone knows about the abuse. Melody has never had friends, and when she did, they left her for new and better friends. She truly believes she is worthless. Kids bully her for wearing the same three outfits, for her ugly brown hair, and for being ugly and small. Melody never had great parents to take care of her, so Melody is short and dangerously skinny.

Ryan Macmillian is a new senior at Popper High School. Ryan is immediatley welcomed into the popular crowd as he is nie with everyone, a great athlete, and most of all, handsome. Ryan notices everyone,and he soon gorws increasingly more interested in Melody.
