What actually happens in this poem is a boy committing suicide because of: His mum drinks and beats him, but she denies it and 'pours the drink away in front of him', before drinking more and beating him again. Everyone he knows bullies him, pushes him around and beats him up. He feels lonely, unloved and decides to end it.All Rights Reserved
