Cate is tired of watching from the shadows, helping innocents at the last possible moment when she could be doing something beforehand. She knows that a great evil is at work and it won't be long until the supernatural and human world are at stake. She needs to be a guide for those she wants to protect, and it all starts with Grayson Cross. ... Grayson isn't sure what to think of the random female who turned up on his doorstep. She isn't human, but she also isn't anything he has come across before. She says there is a war coming and they need to prepare. She seems to know information other people don't. Despite her flirty actions and not so amusing antics, she's distant. And Grayson needs to find out what's she is hiding before it's too late.

After being rejected by her husband and Alpha in front of half the werewolf world, Allison does the only thing left that makes sense- she walks away. Heartbroken but unbowed, she rebuilds from the ground up, turning her experience as a Luna into something new: Luna's Compass, a consultancy that fixes the messes other packs are too proud to admit they made. No attachments. No politics. No pity. But fate has a sense of humor. Her newest client, Gordon Hale, is a widowed Alpha raising three daughters and holding his pack together by sheer will. What starts as a six-month contract becomes something far more complicated- professionally, politically, and painfully personal. Between grief, politics, and the slow burn of something she swore she'd never feel again, Allison must learn that fate isn't about who you're tied to - It's about who you become when the bond breaks.
